50 foodie things to do before you die…

I was reading the Waitrose Weekend supplement the other day and stumbled across the foodie bucket list – a list of 50 things you need to do before you die. You all know I am a fan of a bucket list so I thought for a bit of fun I’d list here and see if I have actually done any of them.  (I’ve made the list a bit more concise, it was quite wordy).

3. Dig fresh British asparagus from the soil and straight into the pan
4. Bake a chocolate cake with your kids, enjoy the mess

  1. Oooh, I can tick off 32 of those. The ones I’m missing mostly relate to specific restaurants. However there is one restaurant specific one I’ve done that isn’t on your list but would be on mine if I made one – sample the tasting menu at The Fat Duck, which I have done.

  2. 23, but there are a lot I wouldn’t want to do! Taking tea at The Grand, Brighton, I’ve done and was lovely. I’d also love to eat in that restaurant that is pitch dark, staffed by blind waiters
