Meal Planning Monday (10th March 2014)

Good Morning! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, pretty glorious wasn’t it? Oh a real taste of summer. Trying not to get too over-excited about it though as we had snow late in March last year didn’t we? Brrr. Anything is possible!

I was so busy last week I didn’t have time to blog. Argh. Consequently I feel in utter chaos and so behind with everything. Turns out working less hours, flexibly from home means “on constant call”. I never realised that. Silly me!

I haven’t had much time to think about food either but I’ve thrown together a plan.

Chicken korma & rice
Fantastic fish pie
Chicken caesar salad
Toad in the hole
“Classic” spaghetti
Skinny keema

We’ve not gone all toad-obsessed, I had to ditch it off last week due to Mr M being called to an unexpected late meeting. Classic spaghetti is basically spaghetti in a basic tomato and basil sauce with baby mozzarella pearls. Simple, easy and yum!
Okay, lets see what you’ve got on your plan this week!
If you’re new to my blog or #mealplanningmonday all you have to do is this – write a blog post about your meal plan for the week and submit the URL of your post using the Linkytools below. If you’ve not got a blog but want to join in, that’s fine – just leave a comment below telling us what you’re planning this week.  Any questions, just holler at me via email (in the contact page) or on Twitter @madamding.

  1. I keep meaning to meal plan. I’ve got half way there in that we plan what we are going to eat the night before. I just need to go that step further and plan the week in advance. Your meal choices sound very tasty.

  2. Ooooh… *looks at sausages in fridge* Toad! Yes! And that spaghetti sounds delicious too, will have to give that a go myself! 🙂

  3. I tried to start doing a meal plan every week, this year. It’s working so far and means I spend less money at the supermarket! Loving your meal ideas – toad in the hole is one of my faves!

  4. I think I’ll pop over to yours this week! It’s just me at home in the midst of building chaos, so my suppers aren’t terribly creative at the moment!

  5. Haha – I work from home and it most certainly does feel like “being on call” all the time!! You have to work hard to separate work and home life, don’t you?

I find it hard to meal plan at present because my digestion is all over the place and I plan a meal and then never manage to eat it, so the food is wasted. But I do hope to get into meal planning again soon!

  6. we haveing toad in hole too , had curry last week and spag bol yesterday and lasagne, potatoe bake last week, im running out of ideas lol x

  7. What a fabulous selection – haven’t had toad in the hole for ages! My husband does the meal planning at the moment while I’m bathing and singing nursery rhymes – badly I might add. Love this idea though, be nice to get cooking again soon 🙂

  8. I really need to start meal planning. Hubby helpfully writes up what we have in the freezer on the board but proper meal planning would real save time and money

  9. Hello hello! I used to join in with MPM back in 2012 and am back again (if you’ll have me!). Loving reading everyone’s menus xo

  10. yum! Now just wondering if I could do away with the meat in my spag bol and just have a classic spaghetti instead – will the husband and child notice?

  11. Sounds great…the classic spaghetti makes me think of Italy and summer which is perfect while the sun is shining!
