So here we are with the first #mealplanningmonday of 2015. I hope that you’ve had the most marvellous Christmas and New Year? It was relatively quiet for us but that’s the way I like it!
Are we all fed up of the chocolates, biscuits and endless rounds of cheese now? I think I am but there’s still a fair amount in the house and as we’re on a strict budget for the foreseeable, we can’t really afford to just chuck stuff out which means will be eating party snacks for the next week. All this doesn’t really work well with me “lose weight” resolution, but being as pretty soon I’ll probably have no money for food (*dramatic* I’ll no doubt be eating less anyhow!
Before I get to the meal plan I just wanted to remind everyone of a few things.
1. Firstly, we still have our Facebook group running. If you haven’t joined, come over and find us. The idea is to use it as a source of chat, inspiration, tips and hints for meal planning. You can find the group HERE. I plan to post a lot more inspirational recipes and ideas here over the next year.
2. If you didn’t know (though I mention it enough…) the collaborative Pinterest board is in action, ready for you to share your favourite #mealplanningmonday family meals with the world at large. I will spend some time pinning your recipes (let me know if you’d prefer me not to) but If you want to pin your own tried and tested recipes from your blog, then do get in contact so I can add you to the board. The board is currently edging it’s way to 1,000 followers with more every day. The board can be found HERE.
3. Google+. Meh. I don’t enjoy it but I started a group last year and I intend to try and get things going over there more this year. It’s a blogging goal! Find the group HERE.
4. My “Meet the Meal Planner” feature has been running now for a few months and I’ve loved reading how our members meal plan. If you want to be involved with this in the future then drop me an email! You can see the previous interviews HERE.
Okay. I think that’s it for now. Time to talk food.

You see. There’s a theme there isn’t there? USE UP ALL THE CHRISTMAS CRAP!

I’ve tried to drum up some interest on Twitter and would like to get some more people talking about #mealplanningmonday and joining in during 2015 – all RT’s and shares on Facebook, Pinterest, the dreaded Google+ etc would be greatly appreciated! The more the merrier and more inspiration for us all!
