Meal Planning Monday (12th October 2015)

Hello and welcome to Meal Planning Monday.

Wait, WHAT?

Oops. Better late than never? Had the craziest week so far so I’m just catching up now, two days late. The good news is though that there IS actually a meal plan amidst all this crazy carnage, it’s just taken me a while to get here and share it with you guys.

Morrisons deliveries are still an AWESOME, life-changing thing and this week I have had a veg box delivery from Abel and Cole – a freebie from a friend who asked if I wanted a voucher. The box should have been £27 but in all honesty I don’t think it’s worth £27, for what I received, I could have got all that cheaper at my local farmers market so I am not sure. Perhaps living rurally I am not their target market.  Still, I have a box of veg to use up this week alongside my meal plan which is looking a little like this….

Beef & broccoli with rice (in the slow cooker)
Cheese & potato pie
Curried parsnip soup & fresh bread from the breadmaker!
Swiss steaks with new potatoes
Honey garlic chicken with rice and noodles (in the slow cooker)
Roast dinner (probably lamb this week, will see what’s on offer).

Also being taken out for a curry by my hubby, SO looking forward to that!

Okay over to you. Usual blurb coming up!

  1. Whoop – didn’t realise your Meal Planning Monday was back! Looks like a lovely week of food planned – book me in for Swiss steaks thanks 😉

    1. It was fine as it’s not in there for long, just the last 30 mins, though some people just cook it in the microwave for a few mins/or separately on the hob and then mix it in at the end – that could be the way forward!
