Meal Planning Monday (26th October 2015)

Hi guys!

Sorry, Meal Planning Monday when slightly AWOL last week due to a work trip to London followed by serious Broadband woes. Woes that make working from home five days a week pretty bloody difficult. Still not sorted so todays post is coming to you only because I have managed to tether my MacBook to my Samsung on my beautiful rural mobile phone signal (ie generally non-existent). You can imagine how fun THIS is.  BT are here as I type so lets hope it gets sorted today before I kill someone.

I feel like I am entering the busiest of quarters, my calendar is jam-packed with school stuff, work stuff and personal stuff with a healthy dose of fun stuff thrown in for good measure. It’s not all bad, but it IS hard work keeping up with everything and right now blogging is suffering.  I know it’s not that important but it’s something I’ve always enjoyed doing for me so it’s a shame that I’m struggling on time, plan to have a blast tonight. I’ve also got exams coming up in a few weeks for which I have joyfully not even started revising for…thats going to go well is it!

Anyhow, meal planning is helping me retain some control over my life and is making sure we a) have food in the cupboard and b) actually eat something other than beans. Here’s the plan this week;

Butter Cardamom Chicken with half rice/half chips (so classy!)
Sausage, mash and Yorkshire puddings
Taco Tuesday
Make-your-own Pizza
Fantastic Fish Pie
Hot dogs & jacket spuds

The hot dogs and jacket spuds are in honour of our annual firework bash which this year falls on Halloween!

Okay over to you. Usual blurb coming up!

Link up your own meal planning blog post using the Linkytools form at the bottom of this post. If you’re not a blogger, then that doesn’t really matter, just leave a comment telling us what you’re eating that week!  There’s a whole post on tips and tricks for meal planning here that you might like to read.

We have a Facebook group that anyone is more than welcome to join, regardless of whether they’re a blogger or not and you can find that HERE. We’ve also got a Pinterest board where some of the meal planners have started pinning their favourite recipes from their blogs. If you’re interested in getting involved, then get in touch! Our hashtag on Twitter is#mealplanningmonday. Use the hashtag and I’ll RT as much as I can, and of course if you’ve got any questions about Meal Planning Monday, do drop me a line.

See you next week, look forward to seeing your plans!

  1. The cardamon chicken sounds delish!! Things certainly do sound manic at your end. I agree with you about how meal planning means we have control in that area. I find that planning gives me one less thing to stress about! Hope the broadband gets sorted asap, it must be a nightmare x

  2. Ooh love the sound of Taco Tuesday! I am also now wishing I’d put hot dogs on the menu for this week, but they’ll definitely be on the menu next week for Fireworks lashings of fried onions… mmm! Love this linky as I always get lots of yummy meal ideas!
