Blog Love

Blog Love.jpg

It’s been ages since I did a blog love post. Actually it’s been ages since I did this much blogging! but this week I’ve had chance to go through my Bloglovin’ reader and today I’ve pulled out a few blog posts that I enjoyed and wanted to share with you.  I like doing these posts as I always think it might help someone find some more reading fodder and also through reading other people’s similar posts, I’ve found new favourites myself.

Enjoy!

First up I want to share this fried chicken with cashews recipe from Farmersgirl Kitchen because it looks and sounds amazing and I can’t wait to try it.

The reason I am sharing this next post? JEALOUSY. I want one of these tractors that Our New Life in the Country has been proudly showing off!

I had to share this post from Down By The Sea about their staycation in Dorset as Dorset is home from home for me!

Next was this post from My Custard Pie about Palmyra. The mindless terrorism, violence and vandalism that is occurring in the world right now is frankly quite terrifying.

I missed out on Camp Bestival this year (musn’t grumble, I was in Italy) so I enjoyed this Camp Bestival review from Tent Sniffing for Beginners.

Finally, Emm in London shares some great photos that encapsulates ones of my favourite things – derelict and abandoned spaces!

That’s it for today. Hope you find something good to read!

Blog Love (27th December 2014)

My BLOG LOVE post this week is a short one, mainly because I have been wandering through the abundance of Christmas posts this December and whilst I love all of them (I’m BIG on Christmas) there’s only so many mince pies you can take.

Never thought that was a sentence you’d hear uttered from my mouth.

Of course I can’t avoid Christmas posts altogether so I have picked out a few that caught my eye.

Rusty Rambles is a blogger after my own heart – a list-maker. I’m loving the very basic list on this post, puts my pages and pages to shame…

For super cute and novel food ideas, Foodie Quine is up there as one of my favourites. I do not have the patience for this, so I live vicariously through her blog!

One of my dream destinations if Sardinia so a blog post incorporating a food tour? Pretty much heaven. I love this post from the Glamorous Glutton.

How amazing does Gingerbread Granola sound? Very amazing and The English Kitchen shows us how!

Finally I adore a good book post, so this post from Rose Keats is pretty much perfect and I’ve found a few things to add to my ever growing reading list!

That’s it for now. Hope you’ve found something good to read and remember, if you want me to add your blog to my reader, leave a comment below with the link. I’d love to check it out!

Blog Love (18th September 2014)

Wow, it’s been over a month since I last did a Blog Love post. A lot seems to have happened in that time and I am not as up to date with my blog reading as I should be. Nevertheless I’ve spent a little time catching up on posts from the past few weeks and selected a few of my favourite to share with you here.

I’ve been thinking about pears for ages (like I don’t have other things to worry about…) and after reading this post on Country Days I am inspired to make a pear tart!

North Norfolk has been on my “to do” list for a long time so I very much enjoyed reading this blog post over at Kristinas Jolly Hockeysticks.

Can’t beat a bit of kitchen porn and I love the blue that has been used in this kitchen reveal. Check it out for yourself over at Well I Guess This is Growing Up.

I’ve ordered my ceramic poppy have you? Emm in London visits the Tower of London installation.

Reading her blog, I was in awe at Foodie Quine cooking up a storm without a proper kitchen. When we did ours it was all takeaways and ready meals!

I agree with Hungry Healthy Happy – there really is more to Switzerland than cheese and chocolate. Like super lovely natives. I’ve just come back from a Swiss trip myself so loved this post.

And finally a wedding, I love a wedding. Over at Wrapped Up in Rainbows it’s all about the girls getting ready. What lovely pictures and what a fab dress!

That’s it for now. Hope you’ve found something good to read and remember, if you want me to add your blog to my reader, leave a comment below with the link. I’d love to check it out!

Blog Love (13th August 2014)

Blog Love.jpg

It’s been quite a while since I did a Blog Love post but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been merrily reading blogs, I have, I just haven’t had much time to post! I thought it was about time a did another.

My blog reader has been completely full so some of these posts might well be a few weeks old now, doesn’t mean that they are not worth reading though, because they totally are!

Here’s a quick round-up of some of the blogs I have been reading and some of the posts I have enjoyed. I hope that something catches your eye and that you might find yourself a new blog to read!

I loved Italy last August and am planning to go back next August. What you need to know about Italy in August is that Italians tend to shut down and go on holiday, especially during Ferragosto. A Girl in Florence offers up a survival guide should you find yourself there during this time!

A girl after my own heart, Charismagick salutes PINK!

I’ve followed MamaCook for a while now and she has a new blog focusing on grown up food and I am very excited about it. Go check out Eat Like You Love Yourself now!

I’m quite keen on the idea of travelling to Croatia, so Pommie Travels 5 things you should do in Croatia was a great read for me!

Reading more has always been on of my ambitions/resolutions and I found this post from Vivatramp where she talks about how to become more of an avid reader really helpful.

I’m recently took my children to Camp Bestival and enjoyed Seed and Stitches review of a different festival and her thoughts on taking children to festivals.

MummyAlarm visits one of my favourite childhood haunts Wookey Hole. I must take my children there!

And there you have it for this month!

Blog Love (20th February 2014)

Wow, where does time go? I’ve had most of these posts stuck in my drafts folder for ages so consequently some of these links are quite old (well, a few weeks old anyway). Nevertheless they were posts I like so I’m going to share them anyway! Hope you find something good to read.
Meringues have been on my “to-do” list forever, can you believe I’ve never made them?! So I found the quest for perfect meringues on A Trifle Rushed an interesting read. It has inspired me!

The Foodie Couple Blog visited somewhere local to me which I found interesting as I’ve never actually been to this restaurant before. Must try it!

Disney + cocktails = two of my favourite things so the Disney Food Blog caught my attention straight away with this post about Disney themed cocktails!

Just the name Machiavellian Morello Cherry Loaf on Life, Ninja Killer Cat and Everything Else sucked me in. Cherries, loaf cakes – what’s not to love!

We all love Mini Cheddars so I loved Ms Marmite Lovers post on homemade mini cheddars – definitely a must try though mine will never look THAT good.

Foodie Quine shared pictures of Valentines Cake Club, except she didn’t make a cake. Oh no. She made fantastic Valentines themed canapés and I loved them!

I was salivating at the pictures of Brie and Cranberry Relish Grilled Cheese on Inside a British Mum’s Kitchen. I’m still drooling now.

Belgian waffles with cherry and blueberry topping from Mummy Alarm, oh my.  This is definitely going to occur in our house!

There you go, that’s Blog Love for this week. Inadvertently it turned out to be a foodie edition, I must be hungry – that’s what diets do for you!

I’ll be back with more blog love soon, but in the meantime if you’ve seen something I should read, leave a comment and let me know!
